Abstract
Social justice was one of the fundamental goals of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for transforming the Jāhiliyyah society into a humane/Islamic, a concept that overshadowed all his actions and endeavors. To guide society through this complex path—confronting existing inequalities in the realms of belief, law, economy, and, most importantly, social and cultural aspects—he not only promoted values but also took radical practical measures that can serve as an effective model throughout historical periods. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method, seeks to answer the question: What strategies did the Prophet (PBUH) adopt for transforming society and establishing social justice in his time? This article proceeds with the hypothesis that he led society toward the acceptance of justice and equality by exemplifying equality with others and ensuring everyone had similar rights (the Golden Rule in ethics). The research findings indicate that the Prophet Muhammad, through his discourse based on divine revelation, which opposed all forms of oppression and discrimination, and actions derived from his theoretical foundations, advanced the idea of equality and established it as the key principle of Islam centered on justice through cultural development in society. He designed a new living world by fighting against injustices and rejecting all forms of privilege and inequality, a world that had never been experienced in history.
